5+ Best Mailchimp Alternatives to Crush Email Marketing in 2024

Looking for the best Mailchimp alternatives? You’re not alone. Mailchimp is one of the most popular email marketing services, but its popularity doesn’t make it the one-stop solution for all eCommerce companies.

Mailchimp’s pricing plan can quickly go from affordable to expensive once you start building extensive marketing campaigns that use tools like advanced segmentation and send-time optimization.

Plus, while Mailchimp offers a free plan, they don’t offer support for the free plan, so it’s not a good choice if you may need help getting started with email marketing.

Luckily, there are a lot of alternatives that offer even better tools (like more comprehensive A/B test reporting), unlimited emails, and are cheaper than Mailchimp.

So, how do you know which is the best alternative to Mailchimp?

Some key features to look for as you shop around for Mailchimp alternatives include:

  • Ease of Use: Choose an email marketing service that’s easy to use and conveniently integrates into your lead generation tools.
  • In-depth Reporting: Go with a platform that lets you adopt a data-driven approach. Don’t even consider any Mailchimp alternatives that don’t offer detailed performance reports that let you access the strengths and weaknesses of your campaign.
  • Pricing: If you’re a small business that’s just getting started with email marketing, you might want to find a free email service provider and then scale as you grow.
  • Customer Support: Lack of support is one of Mailchimp’s biggest drawbacks. Other alternative services offer excellent support by email, live chat, or phone.

Now that we’ve got that out of the way, thinking of making the switch to another email marketing platform?

Read on to see our list of the best Mailchimp competitors.

I wanted to let you know about our powerful Exit Intent® technology that converts abandoning website visitors into email subscribers and customers. Typically 70% of the people who visit your website will leave and never return, meaning all those marketing efforts to reach them have gone to waste.

OptinMonster’s Exit Intent® technology detects user behavior and prompts them with a targeted campaign at the precise moment they are about to leave.

  2. Hm, it seems to me that the information about Mailchimp pricing is a bit outdated. I’m looking for more information on affordable ESPs as Mailchimp has gone and made their plans difficult. I’m surprised to see Drip here as I’m not sure it’s very popular. And do you have any opinion on Mailerlite? Either all of my friends are fans of this service or it’s really getting more popular around the globe.

Thanks for the heads up on the image for the pricing! 🙂

Drip may not show up in market share comparisons with other email marketing solutions like Mailchimp since it’s classified as a marketing automation service in many places. It’s seen quite a bit of growth since 2017 (we actually use Drip here) and it’s an extremely powerful email marketing tool.

But, more about Mailerlite! We cover them in our list of the best email marketing automation tools—they’re #5.

      1. Glad I could be of help. Thanks for your reply — i now see that about Drip. I’ll read your article, check out Mailerlite to see why friends are fans of this service and will check out some of the other ESPs in the list as well to see what suits best. Many thanks for the information.
